Canadians Stellato Dudek and Deschamps win the Four Continents doubles title

Canadians Diana Stellato Dudek and Maxime Deschamps won the doubles title on Saturday at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Shanghai, China.

The duo achieved the best short program result on Thursday and took their first win on the Four Continents with the best free program on Saturday.

Stellato-Dudek and Deschamps combined for a total of 198.90 points to take the gold medal, ahead of silver medalists Reiko Miura and Ryuichi Kihara of Japan (190.77), and third-place Americans Eli Kamm and Danny Oshii (187.28).

Canadians Leah Pereira and Trinent Michaud (182.05) finished in fifth place, while their teammates Kelly-Anne Lauren and Lucas Ethier (174.47) finished in eighth place.

Diana Stellato Dudek and Maxime Deschamps won the doubles title at the Four Continents Figure Skating event in Shanghai, China, scoring a total of 198.80.

In the men’s event on Saturday in Shanghai, Yuma Kagiyama put the finishing touches on a dominant performance. The Japanese skater won the men’s gold medal with a total score of 307.58.

Kajiyama’s teammate Shun Sato won the silver medal with a score of 274.59, while South Korea’s Cha Junhwan won the bronze medal (272.95).

Canada’s top finisher was Wesley Chiu in seventh place with a score of 240.38.

The Four Continents on Ice dance free dance begins at 11 PM ET on Saturday, followed by the Expo Gala on Sunday at 4:30 AM ET.
